Its been a strange January so far. We are use to it being really cold and yet here I am with the windows thrown open to let in the air! There is something comforting about the fact we haven’t had a really bad winter this year. Maybe Mother Nature is going easy on us due to the ongoing pandemic!
There is no ankle deep snow and apart from the occasional storm that blows a gale through the village, we seem to be getting off quite easy this year with regards to bad weather. I’m in no way complaining and summer can’t get here quick enough for me. While I am usually found in thick tights, woolly dresses and boots I am looking forward to being able to bare some skin and hopefully get some colour back!
I thought it would be a good idea to pick out some dresses for women that can last right through spring and summer. Places are beginning to open back up, going out to eat and meet friends in bars and restaurants can start to happen.
With that in mind I have chosen a couple of LBDs, which I think every wardrobe should have. A staple in every woman’s wardrobe as it can be worn for any occasion. Dressed down with thick tights and boots, even a long cardigan over the top can make it ideal for day wear. Or we can dress up a LBD with heels and jewellery for a more social occasion. Layered necklaces or a simple diamond stud pair of earrings can change an outfit completely.

As much as I would love to be able to wear the short and tight fitting little black dresses, I am an over 40 mum who likes to hide her curves a little more! I found this amazing Black Blazer Lined Dress with Belted Tie. The long wraparound belt and subtle split on the sleeves give this a classy and sophisticated style. A great addition to any capsule wardrobe. This would look great with jeans, boots and plain T-shirt. However it would look equally stunning with sheer tights and high heels for a more dressed up look.
Of course it is still January and the middle of a pandemic so PJS and slouchy women’s clothing are a must! There is nothing I love more than cosying down on the sofa to watch a movie and these pj sets are just beautiful. I love the feel of silky pjs, especially when slipping into a freshly made bed!

How cute are these sets and I am thinking that those heart ones have my name written all over them! Perfect for Valentines day too. The pink and red are very on point! I think the majority of us have been living in pjs for the past couple of years. With no reason to go out this was fun at first but I miss dressing up. Even if its just popping on a clean set of lounge wear.
I have a dinner date tomorrow night so I am rather excited to get dressed up and go out! Its been a long time since I had the chance to dress up and hopefully impress someone. Lets keep everything crossed that this is just the start and there are many more opportunities!
