Oblumi TAPP – The Now Family Thermometer! Giveaway!

I have to admit to being one of those mums who wishes she had the best first aid kit, the one with everything you would need in any situation.  The one overflowing with plasters and lotions in all colours, creams and ointments for all ailments … and yet I am the mum who always seems to be scrambling in the bottom of my handbag for a random left over plaster or shouting swear words when I pull out the empty packet of headache tablets!

One thing I have always made sure we have had though is a childs thermometer, we have had the ones you pop in the mouth, ones you stick to the brow, ones that go in the ear… you name it we have had it and no doubt lost or broken it at some point!

When we were approached by Oblumi to review and giveaway one of the Oblumi Tapp family thermometers I was eager to see what it could offer that is different to others on the market.

Oblumi Tapp is a device that, when connected to a mobile phone, converts into a digital infrared thermometer with a range of capabilities alongside taking temperature including:

Calculates medicine dosage
Shares patients profiles
Sends and receives notifications
Configures alarms
Multiplatforms
Checks the temperature of liquids

Compatable with iPhone IOS 7 or higher and Android 4.2 or higher it works with phones that most of us have now making it a great addition for anyone.

Download the App and follow the instructions to register or simply take an anonymous temperature without adding any details (although these will not be stored)

Simple to use, with just a couple of touches to the screen I can take the kids temperature and Oblumi Tapp will synchronise and send data to anyone else I share the kids details with. If the girls are taking medication and stay with their dad I can be updated on medication they have taken and be assured that temperatures have gone down etc at the touch of a button.

Getting the girls to sit still long enough to have a thermometer stuck to their head or placed in their ears/mouths was always a nightmare, when you think about it it is a little intrusive!  This is simply placed against the brow and the reading is taken in a few seconds.

Oblumi tapp is much more than a simple thermometer. Linked to your telephone and thanks to the Cloud’s data synchronisation, you will be able to share your temperature history and medication dosage with your doctor; providing your medical professional with exact information in a quick and convenient way.

Overall I think this is a fabulous addition to our first aid kit and with winter coming up it will no doubt certainly be a well used piece of kit.
