I have always loved my hair, infact it was so long it was touching my jeans at one point but all of that came to a halt when I split with hubby last year. In a moment of either new beginnings or sheer madness I decided to get it cut short – I am talking cut in at the nape of my neck and just say long enough to tuck behind my ears!
Of course it didn’t take long for me to wish I had kept it long but after gradually getting use to it I found that once it had grown a little I did nothing but fasten it back again! Regardless whether my hair is long or short I have a tendency to wear it up all of the time so when I was given the opportunity to trial the new Babyliss Big Hair Care as part of their #loveyourhair campaign I thought of it as a way out of my hair habits!
I already owned the original Babyliss Big Hair that was released in 2012 (yes it was a must on every girls Christmas list, within good reason!) I used it every time I would go out as it gave lots of volume and was a kind of blow dry at home with the effects of going to the salon without the price tag!
What with moving home and obviously having my hair cut short I had given it away to my sister and forgotten all about it until I was prompted to try the new version – that giddy feeling came back to me and the promise of big hair was once again within my grasp! I have spent a long time trying to get my hair back into good condition and one thing I know is that spending a little time once a week working protein for your hair into your routine is well worth the results.
Featuring the iconic Big Hair rotating brush technology, it now includes care-for-hair Sensor Protect™ to precisely manage the heat and deliver an even airflow for kinder styling without compromising on performance.
The barrel on the original Big Hair and this new release are the same 50mm ceramic version which creates that super soft, smooth and glossy shine. The polishing bristles on the multi directional brush offer Ionic frizz-control, this is what creates that amazing shine. With 2 heat settings plus a cool setting and single speed I found the whole use of the Big Hair system a joy to use, in the past having tried to use a brush a hair dryer together you get your arms in one heck of a tangle! The fact the brush is multi directional means that you don’t have to be a contortionist to do either side or back of your hair, you just change direction of the rotation based on which way round you are holding the brush!
I found it best to have my hair roughly towel dried and brushed through to release any knots before attempting to work with the Big Hair, the styling in this case took very little time and the style held well after using the cool setting to finish.
My hair is now just at shoulder length and works really well with a tucked under bob but I wanted to try something different and worked on a flick at the bottom – and wow what a flick that turned out to be, see the above photo for how silky smooth and straight my hair looked! However for the Christening yesterday I decided on a little more volume.
My hair looked glossy and thick, in really good condition too despite years of abuse with hair dye so I would most definitely recommend the Big Hair to add a little more shine into your life!
XOXO

This is a collaboration with Mumsnet and Babyliss, I was sent the product for the purpose of the review and compensated for my time.
Vacations are back, and if you have a destination spot, like Disney, it may be time to consider a Disney Timeshare for your vacation accommodations. First take a look at timeshare resales, as they offer a great price and an affordable entry point into the timeshare marketplace.
For those who prefer a more traditional home-like experience when on vacation, a timeshare can make sense. If you’ve gotten many years of good use out of your timeshare and now want to get rid of it, a timeshare cancellation company like Timeshare Freedom Group or Lonestar transfer may be able to help.
