Kitchen ideas to make your life easier!
Sharp Knives
Having sharp knives makes a world of difference, don’t struggle to try to cut your tomatoes and potatoes with something that would barely cut butter! Get some real knives, or even buy a knife sharpener. (If you are not sure how to use one of these, get them done professionally first.)
Grow Your Own
Try growing some herbs in pots in your kitchen. You will be amazed by how much you can enjoy it: a snip here and there and suddenly you’re off in a whole new direction! If it is impossible to grow herbs in your home, purchase them from the farmers’ market and keep them in water on your counter. Treat them much like fresh flowers by trimming their stems and changing the water frequently.
Storage
Get something nice to go in your kitchen to keep all your appliances together. Not only will this look nice and clean in your kitchen, but you will also know where everything is, and there won’t be any more of that clutter we all hate.
Quiet Drawers
Why not invest in getting drawer runners? These are fixed into your drawers to facilitate fluid motion when you open and close. So even if you try and forcefully slam your drawer shut, it will control the the movement and the slider will close it slowly to avoid any bangs or damage.
Lighting
You need great lighting in your kitchen. Otherwise, you won’t be able to see what you are doing. Try getting light system that you can move and turn around! You can spin them around the room as you are working and will never have to struggle.
Fruit and Veg
Why not buy a nice bowl to put your fruit and veg in, they look lovely and are useful. They are even classed as a decoration because of all of the colours and shapes that it gives to your kitchen room.
Wine Keeper
There are many beautiful things on the market to keep your wine handy, and not only that, it keeps your wine out to see and also looks really pretty. Whether it be made from wood or metal, there are lots of artistic looks out there.
Chopping Board
Another good thing to have in your kitchen is an interchangeable chopping board; this means one side is wooden, and the other side is plastic. When cutting raw meat, you should use a plastic board so you know you can wash it properly (with wood the bacteria from raw meat can soak into it.) And the wooden size is used for chopping up veg or anything else you have.
Shopping List
If you want an easy way to remind yourself of the groceries that you need to get for the week, write in down! Get your hands on a blackboard or slate and put in somewhere nice in your kitchen where you can easily see it. Then you can write your items with chalk and easily rub it off once you’ve got it. Get crafty with it!
