Easter is on its way and with it comes the thrill of chocolate all day, every day! What better way to celebrate than by making your own chocolate lollies. We were kindly sent the John Adams Chocolate Lolly Maker for the girls to try and create their own treats in time for the bunny coming!
The pack contains everything you need to make your own wrapped lollies including lolly wrapper, lolly moulds (flower, pony, bunny and heart), message moulds, reusable sticks, chocolate melting unit with spoon and stirer and ribbons and bags for wrapping!

The only thing you need to add is the chocolate and little bit of patience since you have to fill the little dish with hot water and wait for the chocolate to melt. The lolly maker is marketed at age 6+ but i think as long as you supervise and do the hot water for them then smaller should be ok – Amelia melted her own chocolate with me closely watching.

After melting the chocolate it is poured into one of the shaped moulds and stamped with your message. The stick is inserted and a handy little flap is flipped up to keep the stick in place, I know from making lollies in the past this is a huge issue so kudos to John Adams for thinking of something to solve this problem!

The chocolate is then left to set and removed from the mould. After placing the lolly in the holder you simply pop over one of the star covered cellophane bags and twist! This was the girls favourite part – seeing the lolly spin! lol
With the kit comes some paper ribbon to finish off your treat – this also came in handy to teach Evie how to tie her own bows too. We have been practicing lately on Amelias hair etc but she loved having her own little stand she could practice on!

This is a great toy with huge potential for getting children to create their own gifts and have them making things in the kitchen.
Priced at £19.99 and available from all good toy stockists.
XOXO
Debbie
