Thanks to Covid 19 a lot of events etc have been put on hold for so long. It feels like finally at long last that social gatherings are starting to happen again and weddings are being given the go ahead.
It looks as though the British summer may be on our side too, the sun is shining today! The weather is something you need to consider when planning social events outside, one minute it could be glorious sunshine and the next showers, rain or even hail. This is where having a covering for food and guests comes into play.
How to choose the ideal Costoffs pop up canopy. First up you need to work out if you are setting up alone or with another. This is obviously going to impact on the style of canopy or size you should use. Most canopies come with wheeled carry bags for ease of transport too. Two people can install a pop up canopy of up to 10×10 ft
Look at the framing of the tent. If you are having small children around you just know they will be swinging around the posts, something sturdy is a must for family events. Likewise if the wind picks up, you need something that isn’t going to buckle under bad weather. The canopy top is equally important, you need something that is waterproof but will also block out the suns harmful rays too.
The style and colour is a lot down to preference and what the requirements for use are. Think about if you need purely a canopy top or if you want the sides that come with it. If you are holding a stall at a fate maybe it would be best to have the sides attached so that you can focus your attention on customers at the front. This eliminates the worry of people walking behind the stall too. Likewise with food stalls. Having a back on the stall makes it easier and less confusing for those using a queue etc.
Colour is important as black absorbs heat so if you are standing outside all day at a fate or fair, even using it as a cover for children to play in the shade. Be aware that black is going to concentrate the heat inside whereas white will reflect the suns rays and warmth away from the canopy.
Set up should be easy and with a pop up canopy you need to be able to take the parts out of the carry bag and have it installed in minutes. The great thing with pop up canopies are that its a simply pull mechanism to get it set up. Two people can get the canopies set up within seconds without the need for tools or hammers. The only additional items you may need are sandbags to hold the canopy in place should the weather pick up. All accessories can be bought alongside the initial purchase and are detailed in the very informative blog that Costoffs provide.
