By now you probably know my love of books, well, my love of going through phases where I read like an obsessed woman and then not at all.
I have been ploughing through my to read pile like a demon lately and have found some I love and would highly recommend. Also some I couldn’t even finish but I will do a separate post about those soon.
Reading lately, I have enjoyed lately was the French Destiny Trilogy by Stephanie Jean. A little about Stephanie before I start on the book review. Stephanies long career as a life coach gives her a unique insight into people and how they respond to certain situations and life in general.

The collection of people in The French Destiny Trilogy are mixed and diverse, with Stephanie crafting her group due to her believe that people go through changes at a certain age, usually late 40s and early 50s and again in early to mid 60s. She believes, as do I, that by this age you know what you want and have the ability and tools to go get it!
This is why this book appealed to me. I am 48 so hitting that age where I now know what it is that I want and nothing will stop me. I am done with the whole idea of falling in love and living the dream life I wanted when I was younger. Now the idea of having my someone, the person who I read quietly with, go travelling and sharing good foods… now that appeals to me more than settling down with. I am happy on my own and plan to travel etc.

I love learning about people. People watching and hearing stories when they don’t think you can hear. Knowing others have full lives around me and I am simply a player in their lives.
Searching for a new and exhilaring life abroad together Angie and Mike sell up and mosve to the atmospheric Provence. All with unseen consequences. There is no way they could have predicted the locals and how they intertwine themselves into both Angie and Mikes lives. This is exactly what I mean. You just don’t know what is around the corner and as much as you might think life is all set out for you, you just don’t know what is around the corner.
I really enjoyed this book, again, I think it is because I love stories about peoples lives. People who could actually be a neighbour, someone who just moved to town or someone you know.
Stephanie Jean is a great writer and I really do hope she brings out more soon. Now following her on Twitter too where she shares little snippits of her every day life. Pop over and follow @StephanieLGuide for links to all of her books.
