It isn’t very often we get to go to the Metrocentre these days. Between the road works and the fact it is a a whole day trip (you can’t go to the Metro without scheduling in visits to Miniso, Primark, etc), well lets just say its easier (and cheaper!) to stay closer to home!
However we were invited along to Frankie & Benny’s in the food court area of the Metrocentre. Easy to find, simply follow the yellow signs or check one of the multiple locator maps around the building.
As we arrived early we didn’t realise lunch/dinner was not served and it was breakfast only. We were offered a table and the option to wait the 30 minutes until the full menu started. We had a couple of other shops we wanted to nip to so popped there first and headed back.
Thankfully we were back shortly after the full menu went live as it was super busy and we were seated upstairs. Thankfully this was a perfect option as the kids were a little ‘peopled out’ at this point so the quiet of upstairs was very welcome.
We ordered and the food arrived swiftly and piping hot! That’s one of the things we love about F&B’s, you know what you are going to get. It doesn’t matter how long goes between visits you know the food is going to be of a good standard.
One thing I always order is pasta. Doesn’t matter what time of day it is, if there’s a creamy pasta on the menu I will have it! However, my pasta didn’t seem like it was going down at one point, honestly I swear I was eating for hours! The girls loved their food and the fact that they still get colouring pages and crayons (yes they’re 9 and 12 but it keeps them occupied).
It was starting to fill up upstairs too as we finished our food so I think if you are looking for somewhere on the quieter side, you really need to get there for it opening.
Overall we would visit again and next time I may even try something other than the pasta!
