I recently had the pleasure of working with Blinds 2 Go to create a timeless and classic look in my living room. Being a huge fan of doing things myself I was delighted when they explained I would be able to do the installation etc single handedly!
We opted for the Laura Ashley Candy Stripe in the colour French Navy. There is something so beautiful about a blue and white stripe that I just can’t explain. Looking at my clothing explains a little, I have a copious amount of t shirts and sweaters in the exact same stripe!
The order process was simple and they double checked with me to make sure the measurements were correct as everything is made to order. Thankfully this was the case as I had made an error which they had picked up on (no one has a window so wide yet so stupidly short – I missed a digit!)
I was a little concerned about installing it myself but they assured me that it was a simple process. The size of the window meant that I couldn’t have the no drill blinds (which I have seen videos of installation, wow – now that is simple!) The weight of the blinds just simply meant it was not practical and drilling would indeed be needed. Armed with my trusty tools I set to work.
The packing that came with the blind had markings where each of the clips were held so it was simply a case of holding this against the ceiling where I needed to drill and marking it with a pen. The whole process was very painless and took me a maximum of 5 minutes! The clips were then screwed into place and the blinds clipped in. Voila!
I was sure I must have missed some steps or done something wrong as nothing is this easy these days! Nope, all completed and installed in no time. The blinds look amazing and I have had so many compliments on how pretty they look. The best part is they are blackout blinds so when the sun is beating through the window and the children can’t see the tv, they simply pull on the cord and block out the light completely.
Overall I was very impressed with Blinds 2 Go. Both the service and the product are second to none. I am currently measuring for the bedrooms and you can rest assured I know where I will be getting the blinds for there too.
