It’s cold, it’s wet, it’s miserable out there so what better excuse for a party than ‘just because’?! When Baking Mad asked if we would like to host a party we didn’t need any other encouragement, we love a good party and since I love baking and being in the kitchen with the girls I thought this would be a great opportunity to get them a little more involved.
We opted for the Unicorn party as it is the girls favourite thing at the minute – everything is unicorns and glitter so happy girls = happy mummy!
Baking Mad have created theme kits over on their website which include everything you need to create the perfect cake, there is also an assortment of themes too from super hero to princess so something for everyone. These kits make it so much easier than trailing around the supermarket looking for ingredients, all you need to add are the eggs and butter which everyone has in anyway!
We love a good ‘stick everything in and mix’ cake and that is exactly what the recipe said to do so I set the girls off mixing the ingredients together before i took pity and enlisted the help of my trusty Kitchenaid! First up we made the main cake which turned into a 4 tier show piece – I was really impressed with how it turned out and everyone said how tasty it was too, not sickly at all and very light (I think that was the 7 eggs!)
The decorations were adorable and available to purchase as add ons to the cake kit from the Baking Mad site ranging from £4 to £10 depending how what you wanted. They have co-ordinating goody bags, wall decorations, unicorn horn style hats, balloon kits and so much more. The website is definitely a one stop shop!
Everyone loved the idea of being able to buy everything i n one place and they even have 25% off at the moment too so grab them while you can!
We were sent the kit for the purpose of the party and compensated for the time taken to create the party. This post is in collaboration with Baking Mad and Talk2Mums.
For those who prefer a more traditional home-like experience when on vacation, a timeshare can make sense. If you’ve gotten many years of good use out of your timeshare and now want to get rid of it, a timeshare cancellation company like Timeshare Freedom Group or Lonestar transfer may be able to help.
