What could be better than a day out with the girls?
Cocktails at lunchtime of course, and what with Oh You Pretty Things being situated in the heart of the Metrocentre that is exactly what we did last week!
Since we moved I have been lucky enough to make some new friends who I feel I have known forever! I didn’t expect that at all since I tend to be pretty shy around new people and keep myself to myself. These ladies have taken me in as one of their own and I couldn’t be happier – its nice to have someone to talk to instead of Amelia all day and we all have children the same age its good to know we are all in pretty much the same boat! lol
We headed to the Metro on Wednesday with Amelia and P in tow to find a dress for this weekends wedding one of the girls was attending. Easier than we thought as the first shop we called into she spotted THE ONE and voila job done! Cocktails were on the cards before Burger King and we each opted for a different kind, Short Skirt, Sex on the Beach and a Candy Floss Martini.
Each were delicious in their own way and one each was more than enough for an afternoon! Amelia loved the fact I popped some of her orange juice in a shot glass and she sat sipping like ‘one of the girls’. Doesn’t she look like she should be poster girl for H&M too! I could just be biased of course!
Needless to say when the opportunity came to pop back on Friday night to visit Ikea we popped in again for another round! Since we downloaded the app while we were there we qualified for a free Prosecco each too – YAY!
This time round N had Short Skirt (it was so nice the first time), C was driving so went with the Passion Wagon non alcoholic cocktail and I had the Kraken-tini (Kraken rum with a hint of coconut!) Again all totally delicious and well worth the girly time of just sitting and chilling out!
We stopped on the way out to grab one of the Shakeoholic milkshakes and OMG I had the Dime shake – Best. Milkshake. Ever. Plus I couldnt help but snap this picture, its not often your child blends in with the furniture! lol
XOXO
Debbie
