We were recently asked to trial a rubbish removal company called Clearabee and since I am in the process of overhauling the garden it proved to be perfect timing!
The bag can be ordered online and you just ring up for them to come and take it away within 24 hours. This means unlike traditional skips where you pay per day etc, with the use of the Clearabee bag you can fill it at your leisure and make the phonecall in your own time, great if like me you are working alone and may not get everything finished in a day or two.
After purchasing the extra large bag I was a little dubious as it arrived in a rather small package that resembled nothing like the ‘extra large’ version I had ordered. Removing it from the bag it became apparently they are masters at folding and I had a monster on my hands! It was huge! Infact it was that large it took me 3 days to half fill it and then I got in the good books with the neighbours as I asked if they had anything they wishes to dispose of!
Needless to say we went on a filling mission and managed to clear out both of my neighbours gardens and sheds of tree, garden and general outdoor rubbish, I think we could have even compacted it down further if we had broken down some of the larger branches. We all stood in amazement at the fact this bag that arrived looking like a pancake had in effect cleared 3 gardens!
The following day I rang for collection and was told it would be picked up the following day no problem. We woke to the men already parked outside and filling smaller bags into the back of the van – I really thought they would just lift the bag onto a truck but NO! Men were actually hand picking the rubbish and moving it into the removal van – now that is the personal touch and dedication to your work!
Overall the costs of Clearabee were no different to hiring a skip – infact in our area they were even cheaper and the fact that you get to fill it as you need and have it picked up within 24 hours sold it for me! I have recommended it already to family who were moving home and love that we have seen the van out and about in our area so it is proving a big success!
