When we moved home to private rented we soon realised that we were limited with what we could do decor wise, having spoken with the estate agents they agreed that we could decorate as long as it was kept tasteful and in keeping with the overall home decor.
The office doubles up as a bedroom so only one side of it is used for the computer, paperwork etc and I wanted to give the bedroom side of it a bit of an identity of its own.
As you can see from the photograph above the room is a standard box room with duckegg walls and pretty good lighting so I wanted to keep it light and airy, opting for this stunning glitter Beach Hut Driftwood wallpaper from Coloroll via Inspired Wallpaper. At only £10.99 a roll this was a fabulous choice and has really lightened up the room as well as give it a feeling of summer too – isnt it amazing how a change of focal point in the room can really make a difference!
Having ordered 3 rolls of paper I was delighted for it to arrive the next day and it only took just over an hour to put up the whole feature wall of paper, the paper is so thick and durable that it was beautifully easy to put up and for once there were no blisters! One of my major bug bears is having to resolve paper issues once it is on the wall but for once this was straight forward with no issues at all – bonus!
The added feature of the glitter in the paper makes this such a fabulous backdrop and blank canvas for any setting and I wouldn’t hesitate to use it again in the future – infact I am hoping there is enough left to do the downstairs loo!
Also, I am sure all of the bloggers reading this will agree that this would make an amazing flatlay base – imagine the possibilities!
