We all lead busy lives and as much as we would all love to create every meal from scratch, now and again you need to have a couple of tricks up your sleeves to fill those tummies when time is tight!
The children all love a burger now and again, chicken burgers being their favourite so when we were invited to take part in the Rustlers Burger Hacking Challenge we just had to give it a go! Rustlers burgers are super easy, just 90 seconds in the microwave provides a quick and filling meal, especially when you combine it with lots of other goodies!

The Rustlers chicken burgers come in packs of 2 so great for the girls and just the right size too, they are smaller than the normal burger so that means less waste. We created a build you own burger station so that the girls could add what they wanted to theirs to personalise it how they wished.

Between us we chose baby gem lettuce leaves, tomato, cheese, gerkins, red pepper and the obligatory tomato sauce and mayonaise! Of course each child is different so to have a BYOB station means that they could pick and choose what they wanted.

Adding the salad makes this a great balanced meal and because the chicken can be traced back to the farm I can rest assure that the girls are getting quality food. The chicken is marinated in a southern fried crumb so gives a bit more flavour too than regular breadcrumbed burgers.

Why not pop down to Tesco and try this challenge for yourself, the pack of two burgers is priced at £2.50 and a great ‘on the go’ snack! Join in with the #Rustlersburgerhackingchallenge to show how you would dress up your meal!
XOXO
Debbie

Love the way you have packed this with salad for a more balanced meal. Such a good one to have up your sleeve!
Ah that’s a great idea to add extra toppings – had never even thought of doing that. Such a good idea to make it fun adding the extra vegetables and salad.
