Everyone loves a bargain, I most certainly do love a good rummage in local charity shops and car boot sales but do you know the top things you should check for or do you just go in blind and bag everything that takes your fancy?
We have a mass of charity shops within Durham so there is a lot of choice and some are way better than others, its also good to know that the shops have a good rotation system moving things between stores every week or two.

Victoria has given a lot of hints and tips for finding the best bargains available. “Lots of people suggest trying the charity shops in wealthy areas, but I find that’s not always the case. I recommend trying shops that have at least five shops in a small geographic area – that way you get as much choice as possible.”
“Most shops are run by volunteers who are giving up their time to support their chosen charity. Chat to them, find out more about the charity and don’t be afraid to ask if you’re looking for something specific – it may be at the back.
