As a parent, you may want to give them fun spaces with all their favorite things in them. Painting the color a bright pink or baby blue may not age well. Chances are you will just be creating more work for yourself in 5-10 years.
Think About Storage
When your kid is a child, you’ll be doing most of the putting away, so it will be easy to store their clothing in their room. However, as a child ages, storage can become a wish. At some point they won’t keep growing and it won’t be as easy to throw things away as they don’t fit.
When a child gets old enough to pick out their own clothing, and even buy it, storage will be key. It’s not only clothing that they will need storage for either. Throughout a child’s life they will collect numerous belongings that will need to go somewhere.

Add Toys, but not Permanent Ones
Now we talked about making a room fun. Just because you want the room to age well doesn’t mean you can’t make it fun. Children still want to have fun!
The trick is to not make the fun permanent. Add the child’s favorite toys, maybe even some fun accessories or furniture that are dispensable or won’t break the bank. All in all children will be old enough at some point to make memories and remember their bedroom growing.up. There is a way to give them the memories while still allowing the room to age well.
Be Modern
This is sort of the opposite of the prior tip. You can still make it fun, but make sure the fun is easily replaceable. When thinking about permanent or long-term fixtures, kind of like the paint, keep it modern. The child doesn’t necessarily need a princess castle bed or race car bed. Get a modern bed, dressers, and other furniture that the child can also use as a teen.
This will go a long way in allowing the room to age well.
