Tis the season to be jolly FA LA LA…..
Everyone knows if ever there was a chance to have a little of what you like it is at Christmas time, and with that I introduce my Christmas Spirit post. Celebrating all things festive and hoping to get the party into gear with some of my favourite tipples….
First up is Aber Falls, situated at the gateway of Snowdonia National Park, the distillery is one of only a handful of businesses in the village They work very closely with residents to integrate into the local community. With a wide selection of drinks available including whiskey, gin and liquors, distillery tours and so much more available, Aber Falls is definitely on my ‘to visit’ list. rrp: £23.95 available from Amazon and Masters of Malt

This brand new range from Absolut is made with 5% real fruit juice – so technically does that mean it could be part of your 5 a day 😉 Available in apple and strawberry and inspired by the long hot days of Swedish summers. rrp: £16.00 Available from major supermarkets

Created in 1862, BACARDÍ RESERVA OCHO remained the sole preserve of the Bacardí family for seven generations. Used only for the most special occasions, this golden sipping rum is one of the oldest private rum blends in the world. Each batch is made from a special selection of barrel-aged reserve rums and aged for a minimum of 8 years, giving it a refined flavour with notes of prune, apricot, nutmeg and vanilla. Beefeater is THE essential London dry gin recommended by every bartender. Beefeater Pink is strawberry flavoured and has been so popular since its launch earlier this year that it temporarily ran out of stock nationwide. rrp: £16.00 from all major supermarkets

Chambord transforms ordinary drinks into vibrant creations with fun, fruity flavours and colour, perfect for making your own occasion. Launched earlier this year, this whisky is selectively finished in high-quality cognac casks to create a new adventurous taste for the whisky lovers. I am not a huge Whisky drinker but know a decent bottle when presented with one and this Glenlivet Captains Reserve will most definitely be the one that is left out for Santa this year! If there is one thing I love about Christmas is all the cinnamon, it is everywhere! I love finding things that are not on every single supermarket shelf, I think it makes drinking them a little bit more special. Something different. I received a brandy that is only made in Greece for local consumption – where else would I get the chance to try this unless I sought it out on holiday etc?
