The one thing I love about having my own home is the freedom to decorate when I wish! I am a complete decorating addict and love nothing better than painting walls and putting up wall paper – yes I am still a wall paper lover despite the current obsession with white or grey walls EVERYWHERE!
I love a good feature wall, whether it is papered or covered in framed prints, I think a room needs one main focal wall and the rest can be painted. My bedroom is exactly this and the window wall is the one which is painted white. There are spaces at either side of the window though that lend to more than just one hanging picture, however at the left hand side the cupboard door opens up onto the wall so I have always been hesitant to put framed pictures up incase of smashing (the kids aren’t the gentlest when opening doors!)
Tenstickers came to the rescue in the form of a large vinyl sticker that is applied straight to the wall and looks like it is painted in place. Really easy to apply, you just peel the back of the sticker and place against a freshly cleaned, dust free wall. You can buy a plastic card which helps to make sure the vinyl is stuck to the wall before you carefully peel the front layer of paper away leaving a flawless transfer behind.
My future daughter in law is Alice In Wonderland mad so I can imagine the field day she would have on a site like this – there is one image better than the next and so many great choices for people who would use them in photo shoots too.
We love that the one I chose is big enough as a background for images and I even used it in the recent Bassetts campaign with Amelia, you will no doubt see it a lot more too plus I have a whole host of others that I really want.
Evies bedroom wall is pink so I think the dark grey vinyls would look amazing, Amelias is blue so the black or white would be great – the best thing is you can peel them off and start again with another image! Nothing is permanent so if you get bored and fancy a change just peel and go!
