Night times in our home are relatively simple compared to many other homes. The girls don’t really have a bed time as they don’t need to be up for school early. We tend to head up to bed anywhere between 7 and 8.30pm. I then watch TV and the girls play on their tablets for a little while.
Now that the nights are getting lighter it is a little harder to get the kids inside after dinner. Bath time usually follows, meaning I go in first and have a quick wash over as they would stay in for hours! Although I was never one of those mums who bathed their children every night, the girls choose to go in and play more often than not!

Fresh pj’s for us all follow, there is something so comforting about putting on clean pyjamas and slipping between freshly washed sheets. Obviously this doesn’t happen every night as I couldn’t be changing bedding every day! The pj’s are doable though as we all have quite a few pairs!
Once I have settled the girls in their room I tend to have my own little routine.
With regards to prepping myself for bed I tend to do the same thing each night! I bring a cup of tea up to bed with me, sit and drink that while taking off my make up. My book is beside my bed but its not very often I pick it up lately as I tend to favour my phone. Checking social media and making sure I have finished everything I had planned for the day. I take my 15ml of Benenox and generally try to wind down, catching up on a TV series or movie.

GP Dr Roger Henderson – To carry out its essential overnight repairs and cell rejuvenation, your body uses energy in the form of glycogen which is stored in the liver. During the night, these glycogen stores get depleted at a rate of 10g per hour, of which 65% is used by the brain.
Benenox is a unique and patented combination of honey, Sustamine and Vitamin B6. The overnight recharge offers to reduce tiredness and fatigue and support your mental function. I have been taking it every night for the past month and to be honest I do feel a lot more focused during the day. It seems to have helped me organise things a little more, whether that is because my mind is clearer after a good night sleep, I’m not sure?!
I tend to fall asleep with the TV still playing, which means I either need to find out how to programme the timer or switch it off as I feel myself falling! Lately I have been waking at 3am, wide awake and ready to work which is productive but slightly annoying! Maybe I need to start meditating before bed again and cut out the social media.
Overnight Recharge is priced at £9.99 and available from Boots
This is an unpaid collaboration with Benenox. I was sent products to trial, all views and opinions are my own and genuine.
