As this year rolls to a close I have to admit its been a hard year on many counts what with the loss of so many stars and the political events that are Brexit and Trump – but lets not dwell on that for now! (As you will have noticed on my blog so far I have not and I will not be sharing my opinions on any of this, I appreciate we all have different agendas and reasoning and appreciate a different opinion)
Overall though we have had a good year what with the renewal of the contract for a further 2 years on the house, the growth of my blog and the fact I can now call myself a full time blogger and of course the birth of our first grandson, Milo!
The past year has been such a great year for personal growth too – after a session with Sophie who talked me through a lot of issues I realised there are a few things I just need to let go of. There are some things I have no control over and no matter how much I worry or stress about things, it will not change an outcome. The release of these was a weight off my shoulders and I have some exercises I do regularly now to make sure I don’t feel so pressured or stressed out all the time.
For my blog goals I have joined a Facebook page for accountability during 2017 which will be where we detail things we wish to achieve and keep each other motivated but I wanted to pop a few of the tasks here too so that my blogging can take a front seat. These are all things that I am aiming for in 2017 –
My first quarter of the year goals are to hit:
7k on Twitter (currently 4.5k)
5k on Instagram (considering i was on 100 in June and at 2.6k now I’m doing ok! lol)
2k on facebook (currently 1.2k)
I don’t do anything at all on Pinterest (825 followers) so would like to at least make a start on cracking that too!
Launch my foodie blog which will have recipes from book one and new ones too – there will be a lot of family recipes and seasonal too as well as working with new products and ways to use old classics!
Become a brand ambassador for another well known company.
**Stick to scheduled work times, I am a sucker for working 24/7 and really need to have set work hours!**
There are a couple of other things I have in the pipeline and already working on so will update with how they go but will also keep track of how the stats etc pan out over the months before evaluating and publishing for the second quarter of the year.
Personal goals are a little easier but will take a lot more self control! For the first quarter of the year I would love to –
Spend more time outdoors with the kids, get them off their tablets, game systems and out exploring!
Make some me time – I operate better when I have a break, even just 15 minutes peace and quiet in the bath or having my nails done!
Book a holiday, not abroad just a break away for us all.
Declutter big time – take up the Konmari system!
Date night at least once a month with hubby and without children!
Have a housework schedule and chore rota for the kids – our house works well when we have a printout of who’s doing what and when!
Have you set your 2017 goals yet?
XOXO
Debbie
For those who prefer a more traditional home-like experience when on vacation, a timeshare can make sense. If you’ve gotten many years of good use out of your timeshare and now want to get rid of it, a timeshare cancellation company like Timeshare Freedom Group or Lonestar transfer may be able to help.
I used to enjoy your recipes and am so glad you are bringing them back. Sounds like you are definitely headed in the right direction.
Aww thank you Kerry, I am excited to bring it all back and start developing more recipes too 🙂
I love that you have set blog and personal goals. Life as a blogger we tend to merge the two but keeping things separate can help with the balance.
Gosh yes I need to keep things separate – my whole life would be spent online otherwise! lol
I’ve loved making goals this year. Good luck with yours
Thank you xx You too x
