I think by now you will know how much of a kitchen gadget fiend I am, honestly, looking in my cupboards you would wonder what half the weird and wonderful things are and what they do! You will also know that I am one of those freaky people who doesn’t mind practical gifts for Christmas or birthdays, I once received a steam mop for Christmas from my mum and I was delighted!
When I was given the opportunity to have a bit of a self indulgent spree on the Cool Stuff website I jumped at the chance! I have always bought my own gifts anyway at Christmas and usually go down the traditional route, so that the girls can say they bought me chocolates and perfume etc. This year I decided to get what I REALLY WANT for a change and I couldn’t be more excited!
Having seen lots of Instagram posts about bubble waffle cones this was the first thing that caught my eye on the website, a Bubble Waffle Iron, to make our own at home. It promptly fell into the basket! This fabulous dessert from Hong Kong has hit social media by storm and seeing images of cones made from these bubble waffles makes me want to try them out for me and the girls, I can imagine them filled with fresh strawberries and cream!
Alongside this, something I have always wanted to try is a dehydrator. When making cupcakes I always like to top with dried fruit or banana chips etc and what better way to do this than to make everything myself! I hadn’t realised until ready the write up on the website for the KitchenPro Fruit and Mushroom Dehydrator that you can make your own beef jerky too … be still my heart, I have a feeling this is going to be well used!
Next up was a bit of a luxury item, something I could only normally dream of having but knowing how little down time I take I thought it would be a great idea to indulge a little. Spending all day running after the kids and dogs means that when I do get to sit down it is usually to write up blog posts, so I never actually switch off. How great would it be to have a foot massage while having some down time or even when sitting at my desk working. I can’t wait to try out this Shiatsu foot massager, it has 3 pre-set massaging programs for relaxation, wellness and deep massage – bliss!
Having worked at fairs a couple of times this year I was intrigued to see stalls selling twisted potato spirals, flavoured with salts and spices. They look like giant crisps made from a whole potato and taste somewhere between a crisp and a roast potato! I really thought you needed some kind of expensive catering machine to make them so was delight to find a KitchenPro Potato Twister for just £19.99 – GET IN MY BASKET!
Now for something I know you would all really love too, everyone seems obsessed with Harry Potter still, me included! What a fabulous giveaway I have chosen for you all, including a deliciously fluffy and warm dressing gown with golden snitch emblem on the back and piping. Adult size with the HP logo embroidered onto the front too, this really is a luxurious dressing gown that feels top hotel quality and is destined to be well used now that the weather is decidedly Christmas like! Of course you can’t have the dressing gown without matching slippers and these Harry Potter Golden Snitch slippers are super cosy! Made from soft fleece and embellished with the HP logo and Golden Snitch these are a must for an Harry fan! RRP: £13.99
Also the part that I was most excited about – a Harry Potter The Wizarding World 4D puzzle! Watch the world of Hogwarts and surrounding area come to life as you build up layer upon layer of the Wizarding world. I have already completed mine and it is simply stunning to see everything take shape, it really does give you perspective of where places are in the movie and the expanse of the villages etc. Including everything from the Shrieking Shack to the Hogwarts Class Crests, this really is a keepsake for every Harry Potter lover.
