I was tagged by the lovely Sian over at Quite Frankly She Said to document my top 10 blogging peeves! Since I have had almost a full bottle of red wine tonight this could get quite interesting!! haha
- Bloggers that stick to a clique! Yes we know they are your friends and yes we know they are popular but hey you are equally as good if not better so stop standing behind their shadows and show yourself instead of agreeing with everything ‘they’ say!
- Blogger who will work for S**t! Yes those who will sacrifice their soul for a sheet of bubble wrap – you know the sort, opening of an envelope..I’M THERE, PICK ME!!
- Auto messages on Facebook or Twitter – I’m not so shallow that I need a thank you every time I follow someone and a message to say how great it is that I’m now following you and how grateful you are…sorry it just makes me want to unfollow!
- Pop up adverts – I know we all have to make a living somehow but can you do it in a less annoying way, thanks!!
- Crap reviews! I’m sorry but if someone is going to spend the time and money on sending me something to review I will at least try it myself and review it MYSELF! Copying and pasting from a review website or from the actual website is just a plain cop-out! Yeah thanks this was great – sorry doesn’t wash with me and doesn’t give me any info other than ‘thanks for the free product I cant be bothered to write any more’!
- Bloggers that don’t disclose! For heavens sake (…and the tax man too!) disclose what you are given to review or are paid to post! Have some respect, know your worth and declare, declare, declare!!
- Entitlement! You don’t deserve anything any more than the next person, sorry but to think you’re better than someone else just because you have more followers is wrong! Remember you once had 100 followers too and had to build up your following, someone gave you a chance – why not do the same for others!
- Copyright infringement – simples – don’t do it, always say when its someone elses pictures – don’t be lazy!!
- CopyCats! You know who you are! Following around posting the same posts days after someone who had more followers posts, hanging on the coat tails hoping to pick up strays! Sorry, be authentic and show your own voice – people will value you more if you do!
- Don’t be such a bitch! (wow the wine really has kicked in!) Stop using your blog to bully brands by posting on their pages etc – would you post on there if you were a regular customer or are you trying to throw your ‘weight’ around. I don’t mean those who have regular complaints, I mean those who you can blatantly see are out for something for nothing!
**Sigh** That was easier than I thought, maybe I should have wine more often when I’m posting! 😉
