As I have mentioned in previous posts I have sectioned up the garden so that the girls have a part dedicated to their toys, growing areas etc and somewhere for them to just enjoy.
With the weather taking a turn for the better we have been outside lately picking out weeds and actually moving things around a little. Instead of one side of the garden I am dedicating the whole bottom half of the garden to be for the girls. We have already moved over the playhouse, done some basic garden maintenance and gravelled around it making a beautiful little seating area, which is also next on the list. I am hoping to pick up a little kids picnic bench or seating set in the sale now that the summer stuff is hitting the shops.
Looking out of the back door down into the garden it is all starting to take shape, they have a wooden climbing frame which is opposite the playhouse creating a kind of woodland feel. With this I really want to do a little garden clearance and complete a little planting area in front of their area as a kind of sectioning point – I was thinking some form of bamboo or willow trellis but on second thoughts my little gardener Evie suggested using sleepers to create larger planters filled with wildflowers!
How creative is she!!

I love the thought of a little floral curtain as such, separating the kids area from the grown ups and how pretty will it look once in full bloom! I have found large bags of wild flower seed from this website and we have a timber merchant local that can supply the sleepers. All that is needed after that is a little more gravel to fill in the sections that are missing from switching sides and we will be able to move on to the grown up area of the garden – now that is something I am REALLY looking forward to!
XOXO
Debbie
