Finding your own style is such a personal experience that when you do you want to make your mark in each room of your home. As you know we rent out home so to be able to make it our own means that little touches make a huge difference. Stuart is half South African and half Scottish so as you can imagine tartan has always featured on his wishlist of things to have around the home (when we move into our forever home we would love a charcoal tartan carpet stairway – i digress though!)
When I was approached by the bespoke lighting company Litecraft to work together on styling a particular section of our home I of course jumped at the chance. Ambient lighting and candles feature heavily in our home, we dont often use the main room lights, prefering to focus on smaller table lamps and accent lighting.
I was asked to send through details of our style and a photograph of are to be the focus of the project and I was very pleasantly surprised when they came with a selection of lights for me to choose from – any of which would have worked perfectly in giving a subdued and homely glow to our entrance hall.

After talking with hubby (and secretly hoping he would go for the one I had my eye on) we agreed to go for the tartan and wood table lamp! (Yayy!!)
As you can see below our hallway/entrance way is rather large and has a tendency to look rather bare and unwelcoming with the only light coming through the double doors to the living room (which are blocked as we use the other door and a sofa is in front of the doors at the other side) To have ambient lighting from this lamp is ideal as it creates a beautiful cosy welcome to our home and also throws the light into the living room on a night making it feel a whole lot warmer!

The light itself is 21 inches tall with a solid wood base and charcoal tartan cloth shade which is wipe clean.

I now have my eye on this fabulous Pineapple jar lamp for the kitchen – how amazing is this and so on point for a bloggers home too wouldn’t you agree!

Pop over and take a look as it is not only lighting that they sell, the home decor and mirrors are stunning and if youre going to be changing up your lighting then you need new accessories to match….honest!
Happy Shopping!
XOXO
Debbie
I was kindly sent the tartan lamp for review purposes. All views and opinions are my own and genuine.
