With the release of the new Smurf movie, Lost World the hype has started with everything involving those little blue people! We were kindly sent one of the new playhouses which is in the form of a toadstool with removable roof and moving windows and door, key for the door, window box, chimney and of course the supercute Papa Smurf, Gargamel and Azreal the cat.
Each of the sections are seperately packaged which makes building the toadstool really easy. The door and window frames pop into place and are held with little ridges that overlap.
The whole toadstool is really robust so will withstand being played with by our little thunderball – Amelia! Amelia loves the smurfs and let out a little squeal when she saw Papa Smurf, the characters are the perfect size for little hands.
We are so excited to go see the new movie and this has made us all the more excited. In this fully animated, all-new take on the Smurfs, a mysterious map sets Smurfette and her best friends Brainy, Clumsy and Hefty on an exciting and thrilling race through the Forbidden Forest filled with magical creatures to find a mysterious lost village before the evil wizard Gargamel does. Embarking on a rollercoaster journey full of action and danger, the Smurfs are on a course that leads to the discovery of the biggest secret in Smurf history!
Both myself and Amelia have been playing with this set, Gargamel chasing Papa Smurf around the toadstool house until Papa gets locked inside safe and sound, if you look closely you can see inside but the one thing missing is that there is no furniture which would have been a lovely bonus!
We are going to try and pick up some of the other pieces that go with this set as it will be great to act out some of the scenes once we have seen the movie!
