September has been a busy month, what with a holiday, a birthday and days/nights out there have certainly been more than enough opportunity to take advantage of doing some ‘What momma wore’ style posts. Of course as usual the paranoid side of me hates everything I wear and I know I need to work on that – its a confidence thing but I will get there.
For that reason most of my fashion posts at the minute consist of flat lays or close up shots. To begin with during our holidays the weather wasn’t nice enough to wear my holiday clothes but they would be ideal for hitting the pool and for summer next year too – Amelias bikini is 5/6 too so big enough to last a couple of years!
We were sent matching costumes from Debenhams which arrived after we had set off for our holidays unfortunately but I can’t wait to wear them when we hit the pool for the girls swimming lessons which they start soon. Our costumes are from Mantaray which is a well known beach wear brand and these costumes are testament to the name – well made and a great fit I can see these causing a few head turns when we all rock up in our matching swimwear! Its all about twinning these days!
This beautiful dress from Elvi is an absolute winner for me, the dress hangs beautifully and the fact that the back is identical to the neckline really allows my tattoo to make a statement.
The light cotton material is airy and flows without feeling heavy. I am only 5ft 1in and the length is ideal for me, it is mid calf so would work well as both a daytime dress or with a pair of heels for dinner on a night, a light denim jacket over the top would look perfect for a colder night time.
Elvi is commited to making clothing from size 8-28 and proving that women of any size can look good in great clothing. The prices are very reasonable too compared to other plus size clothing manufacturers, this dress was £55 but is currently £27.50 in the sale.
I am all about the lace right now and this cover up from Hunkemoller is the ideal addition to any summer or holiday wardrobe. It is very sexy and as always with Hunkemoller the sizing is perfect and material beautifully soft. I can imagine this with one of those straw hats that have ‘meet me at the beach’ embroidered on them, a cocktail in one hand and sun belting down – can you tell I wish I had had a holiday abroad this year! Roll on next year and this will most definitely be getting an airing again!
Last but certainly not least are these super comfy shoes from Hotter. When I have walked past the store in town I have thought the shoes on display look for the, how do I put this, the older lady! However we met them at Blog On conference and I was measured properly and shown that all of the shoes are aimed at women of all ages!
There really were some beautiful ones and I picked out these which are the Natasha in black floral. The thing I love about Hotter is that they not only do half sizes but also wider fittings too. At the moment they have a buy one get one half price offer too.
XOXO
Debbie

Matching swimsuits, how adorable! The prints are gorgeous. And that dress! I love showing off my tattoos without showing too much skin.
I love the neckline of that Dress and your tattoo too! And those shoes are fab!
what some great fashion favourites! I am loving that dress I’ve heard really good things about Elvi I should really try them out myself.
Ooooh I really love that dress, it’s so summery but I bet it would work into the cooler months too with a jacket on top. That neckline is gorgeous (love your tattoo as well!)
I like the flats a lot. They look dead comfy.
