As you might have guessed by more than a handful of posts I have written in the past, the girls love their train tracks! Check out this post, this one and this one for example!
We were recently asked if we would like to review the Crossing & Cranes Set by Hape and of course the girls were more than happy to oblige!

Watch out! When the safety gate comes down the train is coming. This realistic rail cargo set includes a working magnetic crane, a train, a level crossing, a tipper truck and adjustable safety signals. There are 34 pieces in total and it is aimed at children age 3+. To be honest there are no really small pieces except the tipper truck magnetic blocks to pick up and even then they aren’t that small!

Everything, as always with Hape, is extremely well made. The wooden items are solid with smooth edges and flawless design. The plastics are moulded so no sharp corners or chances of fingers getting trapped etc. All of the track pieces are stamped with the Hape name and logo. They do fit onto other well known tracks too you can go to town and create a whole village!

The crane picks up the magnetic blocks and deposits them into the carriages ready to be taken to the factory. The whole play set opens up a whole new world of imagination. There are people and sign posts included so that you can move those around the track giving more scope for story telling.

Personally I love that the items are easy to use for little hands, there is nothing worse than kids trying to play with something and constantly needing help. The winch on the crane moves by the simple turn of the button on the top and the magnet is powerful enough to not need to be positioned exact. I also love that each piece is emblazoned with the Hape logo, it really does make it look like a quality product and also helps the girls when it comes to tidying up too!

The Crossing & Cranes set is from £35.00 and available in lots of the smaller independent toy stores as well as the likes of Amazon etc.
We were sent this set for the purpose of a review, all views and opinions are our own and genuine.
