Long before I became a blogger I was a self confessed stationery addict. It could be paper, pens, envelopes, writing books, journals, jotters…you name it I had mountains of the stuff!
Needless to say once I started to get a little more organised I realised there was only so many pieces of paper I need. I desperately needed to streamline my supplies to things that I definitely would use and things that I just liked because they were pretty!
- A Good Diary. When you get invited places you need something on hand that can keep track of all of the events and plans you have. I found a good diary is essential with regards to keeping track of where I am and not double booking for something that was organised months in advance.
- Wall Planner. Likewise with the diary I like to have a good visual representation of when due dates are looming! With toys being sent out sometimes months in advance of the reviews being done it is easy to pop things to one side and get lost in the mass of blog posts being created. This way I have a big planner on the wall that shows me each date that reviews, posts and more are due so deadlines are always met.
- Highlighters. I use highlighters like they are going out of fashion, different colours for different levels of importance! When I know I have payments due in I will highlight the due date, likewise when I have deadlines for reviews or days out – the bright colours of the highlighter scream that things need to be done!
- Scribble Pad. This is essential for me when I am taking phone calls and planning as I really can’t manage with scraps of paper lying around the house, I have always been a pen and paper girl over keeping notes on the pc though. For some reason it seems more real to me when it is written down by hand so having a scribble pad keeps all of my notes and thoughts in one place and i can flick back through when needed!
