My love of jigsaws seems to be hereditary as Amelia is a little jigsaw fiend too!
We recently received the Gruffalo giant floor puzzle for review and she wouldn’t let anyone near it until she had completed it at least once by herself.
The 24 piece, shaped giant floor puzzle by Ravensburger holds all of the girls favourite characters from the book and even has the wording around the outside so you can follow the story as you piece it together. Amelia has loved the Gruffalo since we saw him in Hamsterley Forest on the Gruffalo trail but she is yet to see the actual tv programme so we will have to sit down and watch it together one day. Her favourite character is actually the mouse so she was glad he was one of the larger parts of the jigsaw.
But who is this creature with terrible claws
And terrible teeth in his terrible jaws?
He has knobbly knees, and turned-out toes,
And a poisonous wart at the end of his nose.
His eyes are orange, his tongue is black,
He has purple prickles all over his back.
The jigsaw pieces are large enough for little hands but not too giant that it takes up masses of room, I was a little worried we wouldn’t have enough space for it but thankfully their idea of giant and ours are a little different! lol
With brightly coloured pieces and the usual Ravensburger quality this is going to be a firm favourite for a long time. Recommended for ages 3+ I think that is about right as although Amelia put it together mostly by herself she needed a little encouragement with it being shaped, we are use to square or rectangle ones so the curves threw her off!
Available from Amazon priced at £9.99 (affiliate link)
