Since moving Amelia into her own room, we were co sleepers for 4 years, I have found that I was not falling asleep as easy as I use to. I think it was simply the fact she isn’t there anymore and I am in this huge bed by myself for the first time ever. I am so use to the little hands reaching over for a hug and just knowing no-one is next to me, means that I was staying awake listening for noises.
One solution I have found that seems to be working well this past week or so is the Soundasleep Bluetooth Speaker Pillow, which I was kindly sent for review. First up I want to say I thought it would be a gimmick and something that I may use for novelty value but after trying it out I can honestly say I love it.
The pillow in itself is the best I have ever slept on. I have spent obscene amounts of money on pillows over the years, from feather to memory foam and everything in between, nothing comes close to the comfort this one provides. The Pillow is generously filled with soft and springy hollow fibre to provide just the right amount of support for your head and neck. The Air mesh walls surrounding the Pillow help to increase airflow and circulation, helping you to keep a Cool head at night and prevent overheating.
The speaker is built directly into the pillow so there is no need for headphones and I found that the speaker was positioned well within the pillow that you can’t feel it and there is surround sound. The pillow does need to be charged but the wires are hidden in a little zipped pocket at the top – charger cables are included. The power button makes a noise when pressed to show whether it is switched on or not and you simply connect to your phone bluetooth to listen to audio books, music or more.
I have a playlist of 25 songs which lasts just over an hour and have found that I barely make it half way through before I am dropping off to sleep. It might be quicker if I switched up the songs to slower ones or listened to pod casts etc but I am a stickler for routine and really enjoy my new nighttime regime! There is an app to download which includes meditation sessions and helps with sleep pattern.
Priced at £50.00 I think its amazing value for money and would most definitely be something I would purchase again for use in other rooms and even for the kids. It scares me to think they may fall asleep with their headphones on and this eliminates that worry.
XOXO
Debbie
