The list of household chores that make me want to hide away is endless, cleaning the toilet – ack, ironing – yawn, emptying the bins – eww. Seriously these are the things that should be taught in school not how many watermelons is John carrying if hes travelling at 7 miles an hour from 9pm until midnight!
Housework is an inevitable part of being a grown up though and there are some good bits! The glossy sink when all the dishes are done, sparkling surfaces after a good polish and my absolute favourite … sinking into bed at the end of the night, into clean super soft bedding with a fabulous scent!
Inspired by nature, recommended by mums
Pioneering a greener clean since 1979, Ecover’s new Non-Bio formula is now even tougher on stains, but just as kind on sensitive skin and is now Mumsnet rated* with 89% of Mumsnet raters saying they would recommend to a friend – making it the perfect partner for all the family, as well as the planet.
Having a large family I had forgotten what the bottom of my laundry basket looked like, the tangle of school clothes mixed in with obscene amounts of clothes that had been worn once or even not at all! The sniff test is a good one for this situation and that is why I love a good strong scent in my washing liquids! The boys always had a habit of not putting their washed clothes away and then when I asked for anything that needed washing they would just bundle everything together and throw it in the laundry pile!
A good scent for me is something that is calming and floral, I may be in the minority but I really find the likes of ‘fresh cotton’ or ‘baby powder’ scents to be too strong and highly over rated. I look for something different which is why when I received Ecover’s new Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent scented with Lavender and Sandalwood to trial I let out a little whoop! Nothing gets the kids to sleep like lavender so this is a bedding must !
As well as the relaxing scent I was also pleasantly surprised with the consistency of the liquid, clear and quite thick it made a difference to the usual runny nature of washing liquids. I found that I did not need to use fabric softener too (and I always use FS, even when the detergent contains it!) Priced at £5 for 17 washes it isn’t the cheapest but I found the combination of not having to use fabric softener and also not having to rewash clothes that had stubborn stains compensated for the price.
Having a whole king size bed to myself now means I get to do my writing and starfish to sleep but the only thing I have to hug is the pillow, the fabulously scented super soft pillow … and for now, I am happy with that!
Thank you Ecover!
XOXO
Debbie

I love Ecover and use most products from their range . Not tried this one . Will definitely put it on the shopping list 🙂
I love my washing to have that lovey smell too – what’s the point otherwise I think! This sounds fab, although a bit on the pricey side for me x
ive been looking at trying this out! i think i will now!!
I like a lot Ecover’s stuff, the smell is always pleasant and not overpowering at all like some brands.
I have found Ecover is good for everyday washes but not great on stubborn stains
