Brio is a name that is becoming a regular here at home and with good reason! The girls are going nuts for the train tracks and additional pieces you can buy to make the tracks longer and more interesting, little garden sections, airports, bridges and now things just got even better!
We received 2 parcels which included the Smart Engine with Action Tunnels and The Smart Washing Station. The Smart Engine has buttons on top to press it into action, this results in the train ‘recognising’ the bridges and washing station thus prompting them into action.
The tunnels cause the train to do U-turns and back track which the girls found fabulous as they could cruise their wooden trains around the track and the Smart Train worked its way around by itself.
What we love about the Smart Tech products is that they are compatible with any Brio products so the track we already own fit perfectly through the tunnels and attach to the train wash. This is amazing as more often than not companies bring out new products so that you have to buy everything again but BRIO put families first and want to provide products that will last a life time and can be built up into a great collection.
Choo-Choo! The locomotives are more alive than ever. Depending on the tunnels, the engine will stop, back up or blink its lights. The Engine with Action Tunnels starter kit is based on interactive smart technology that sets you off on your travels, and you are the decision maker!
All trains need a good wash now and then. Especially after traveling through the magical world you have built. The rollers roll and the Smart Engine moves by itself as the sound of water and bubbles is playing. Soon the train will be shiny again! Based on smart interactive technology with action chips. BRIO Smart toys are preferably used with BRIO Smart train to make sounds and actions possible.
Overall our first impressions of the Smart Tech products are that they are a welcome addition to an already well known brand, this is one way to keep children engaged for longer and everyone loves toys that move around by themselves, it really does bring the toys to life.
