Anyone who has children knows what it is like to have a never ending pile of washing, whether it be in the corner of the bedroom, piled high in the bathroom or stacked on that one chair in the bedroom – it is always there!
My old washing machine was a teeny 5kg one with the capacity for a handful of items at best, towels had to be washed one at a time as they got too heavy for the machine to spin around and forget bedding! With Amelia at nursery now there isn’t a day goes by where she isn’t covered in paint or mud so her ‘to wash’ clothes stack up really quickly. Put those with both Evies and Ethans school uniforms and I could be doing 3 loads a day just to get through the small amount that was there!
We now have a new washing machine and the star of the show is the new Beko Freestanding 12kg 1400rpm machine in white. I expected it to be so much larger than the 5kg machine it was replacing but to be honest they fit it in exactly the same position as my old one, there is possibly an inch on each side larger but certainly nothing that stands out as excessive. When I opened the door to the drum I was actually shocked at the sheer size! Today I have 3 days worth of washing in there and there still isn’t enough to warrant a wash! lol
The first wash I did with the new machine was a full load of bedding for all 3 of the children, that includes fitted sheets, duvet covers, pillow cases and 2 small blankets that the girls use. Everything fit in the machine with lots of room to spare and thanks to the Daily Quick Programme of 12kg in just 28 minutes I had all of the bedding washed and on the radiators in under half an hour! This programme is amazing especially when you need something in a hurry, in turn this saves time and money instead of waiting hours like I use to!
The large capacity drum is ideal for large families and since I will have 12 here for Christmas this is something that will be essential, you can wash up to 4 double bed linen sets, 21 towels or 60 shirts in one cycle! I am constantly having to wash towels as the children seem to think they belong on the floor rather than hanging up and there really is nothing nicer than climbing out of the bath and getting wrapped in a freshly washed towel!
I love that this machine also offers a high spin speed, meaning it removes even more water and thus taking less time for the clothes etc to dry. Getting things dry this time of year is awful as there is no chance of hanging items outside so the radiators are always covered! Another great programme is the SteamTherapy, this uses intensive steam to reduce creases in the clothes by up to 50%. I am all for less ironing so this was a huge tick for me!
As well as all the fabulous features listed above there is also a child safety lock, automatic water level reduction for small or half loads, silk care programme and Anti Allergy programme. This is just the tip of the iceberg and to be honest I have been so many features on this machine it really is one of the best kitchen appliances I have ever owned!

We were sent this machine for the purpose of the review and giveaway. All views and opinions are my own and genuine.
I hate washing bedding aswell and my partners work uniform!
Oh my gosh, what an amazing giveaway! My washing machine is slowly dying – the lights keep flashing on and off, and it’s starting to leak! For me, I hate washing jeans… I just hate the feeling of them when they’re wet, and they take so long to dry, and they take up so much room in the washing machine! Ugh! Thanks for the chance! 🙂
A load with lots of socks and small bits
Curtains as always such a pain to put back up
I dislike cleaning the sports kit after a season outdoors.
I’m not keen on washing thick towels it’s a struggle to get many in and they still seem very wet after they have been spun so take ages to dry.
canvas shoes
How fantastic! It’s my dream to have a washer with a huge drum so I can wash all our washable duvets at home.
The one thing I hate washing is socks! Because in my machine there is a sock monster who gobbles up my socks… Not even pairs! Safe to say I have lots of odd socks lol
I hate washing my son’s football kit!!
Anything multi coloured and cashmere scares me lol
I hate washing bedding this time of year I have to hang it round the house and it looks awful!
I hate washing socks and school uniform with 9 kids it’s a nightmare
Curtains! So cumbersome!
I hate washing towels!
Woolen goods, i just shrunk a £65 jersey i have worn twice, Doh!!
Despite there being just us two, I could do with a larger drum sized washing machine to take my mountains of washing. We have lots of visitors in multiples who stay just one or two days but their bedding needs washing in between visits.
i hate washing bras. Literally the worst. They pop holes in other things and can’t be spun dry yet need washing regularly.
I hate washing Duvets and bedding. They never clean properly as too big for the machine
My partners good tops. I always manage to dye or shrink them.
socks and pants as hate hanging them up to dry, so fiddyly
I hate washing things with velcro fastnings. They come undone and stick to everything in the wash.
I hate washing towels. They take so long to dry.
Fab prize
Towels for me
Great prize
SOCKS because they always go missing in action
I hate washing my partners work clothes.
I hate washing bedding!
I hate washing bath sheets as It takes so long to wash on a normal wash and It makes my washing machine disco dance, I try to hide all the large towels from my children now
Dirty socks…..hate having to touch them and then even when clean i hate having to match up pairs……and there is always an odd one!!
Black socks they are always getting mixed in with lighter colours
i hate washing towels
Woolly jumpers, because of the amount of times I’ve accidentally stuck the machine on a cotton cycle and then had to drain the washer and start again.
I hate the time it takes to do the washing but having such a quick wash would be really good.
I hate washing my husbands work clothes , there full of greese and i have to wash them alone
Baby clothes purely because I do about 3 lots a day as Noah loves to poop and pee as soon as I change him
my son’s football kit, needs a low temp for the delicate material/stickers but tough enough to get stains out!
I hate washing anything wooly as I have to put them on a special wash to save them from stretching or bobbling!
The wash cycle seems to take forever haha
WOW brilliant prize!
Items that are cool and hand wash only. Have to wait ages to have enough items to justify the cycle.
Tissues! hahahahahaha! 1/2 hour of picking them off the rest of the washing afterwards! arghh!
Agree with bedding! And then the ironing when it comes out!
Towels, they seem to bunch up and make the washing machine vibrate a lot
Looks really good better than the rubbish one in my house
Bedding!
Muddy football gear eek !
My sister is moving into her own place soon, and is so not a domestic goddess, so this looks simple enough for her to figure out!
my partners bulky work clothes!
DUVETS – DOING UP THE BUTTONS PLUS THE WEIGHT
I hate washing towels!
I hate washing anything that is delicate because I always ruin it
I hate washing socks, then loosing them!
Definitely bedding, it’s just a big bundle and you can usually only do the bedding on it’s own!
I hate washing underwear
I hate washing my sons work clothes as by the time he brings them home they are practically mouldy from sitting in a black bag in either his locker or car boot.
I hate washing i leave it all until sunday then get stressed
I hate to wash towels!
I’m like you – I hate doing the bedding. I live in an apartment so it’s hard to get it all dry!
Sweaty gym clothes!
Big towels and tea-cloths – they never smell right without being dried outside

Towels
Jumpers- getting them dry in the winter is a nightmare
Towels are a pain.
My dressing gown, because it means I can’t be wearing it, ha ha!
Wow looks top spec, would love this, but good luck to all
Bedding ?
I agree with you about washing the bedding. I hate duvet covers in particular as you end up having to retrieve the rest of the washing from inside them.
I really hate washing bedding too, especially kingsize duvet covers, Everything scrunches up together, and it seems to swallow the pillow cases.
I was going to just stop at ‘I hate washing’ but I don’t, that’s the easy bit, it’s the sorting out and getting everything dry that’s a real pain! A 12kg load, wow, that would make such a difference when washing curtains, duvets etc.
Oh yes, it has to be bedding!
A 12kg drum is great! I hate washing towel, thy’re so heavy and can only fit in a couple at a time!
Great prize
Socks. I must lose a dozen a year to the evil laundry Gods!
hate washing bedding things get lost! and socks the dreaded sock monster always runs off with them!
Socks – You put them in – but you don’t always get them back
Curtains! Only every so often, but a real pain
Towels and bedding
I hate washing my white uniforms as they have a black stripe too!
I hate anything that needs hand-washing. Luckily my mum hates ironing so we have been known to swap!
Larger drum would be great for washing duvets. Do not like washing curtains
I hate washing bedding and also the net curtains in our bedroom
I hate washing anything that is hand wash only. My daughters have lots of dressing up outfits that are only hand was and they are the bane of my life! Haha.
shirts, especially white ones, i’ve had so many disasters!

12kg with great programmes such as duvet programme
Rugby kit
My sons sweaty Gym wear

Great prize. Drum size a bonus to cope with all household washing.
Bedding too!
Duvets as they always seem to loose some of their shape
Folding bedding and making the bed and ironing!
Has to be pet blankets/bedding! So many hairs!!!
Anything that is likely to shrink or the colour could run,
The bedding so nice when its done but hard work to do and put back on the bed
white shirts D:
I’m with you on the bedding! Also towels as I don’t have a working tumble dryer at the moment 😮
I hate washing anything large as it never spins properly and then getting it dry is always a nightmare (bedding, throws etc)
Pillows and net curtains
Duvets
I hate washing my husband’s socks as he puts them in the basket still balled up and they get washed together.
duvets always get pillow cases inside
Soggy, muddy, football kit that I have usually discovered in the corner of a bedroom in a bag going musty, that has probably festered for several days.
Duvets, as others items always land up inside, then don’t spin dry properly
I don’t really mind washing anything or even ironing….but putting it away is a nightmare made in hell!!
I hate washing my white table cloth. such a bad colour
I hate washing socks!
I hate washing coats! They’re so bulky and awkward and then need to dry naturally. With three little ones I feel like one of them is always covered in mud, chocolate, ice cream etc
Impressive Specs
Towels: they take so long to dry.
Sports kits! The mud that comes home from the footy pitch manages to get everyhwere
Towel – they take ages to dry
The one thing I hate washing is curtains.
The sofa covers as my washing machine is not quite large enough so they take some pushing in!
Towels
I hate washing the bedding it seem to be a never ending
I hate washing my bath mats and steam mop heads.
Shirts trousers and always needs a second wash
I hate washing towels – they all seem to need doing at the same time and there’s not enough room for them all!
Towels. the weight sends the m/c dancing a jig.
The thing I hate the most, is definitely my duvet. Trying to cram it in to my washer is a total nightmare but with a 12kg drum I’d have no problem!!!
Definitely bedding as it’s a struggle to hang it up to dry and fold it after.
I hate washing socks… I always seem to mismatch them somehow!
The dog’s bedding
Brilliant!
I agree bedding is a pain. Finding the room to hang it all out to dry and the effort of changing the beds.
Anything delicate – I’d love to just stick everything on high speed & not worry about anything! But especially jumpers and things that bobble a lot. Gggrrr
I would hope this could make inroads into the mountains of washing my three girls generate!
Bedding!
I hate washing my partners work shirts as they usually need scrubbing first.
wolly jumpers
No one likes washing if they can get away with it. Its a pain with my current one as its not always as clean as I want first time round. This machine looks super
Anything fluffy
My daughter’s painty clothes! They seem to use some kind of non washable paint at school and the before and after scrubbing that takes place is timely!
Washing the kids school uniforms is my pet hate
There isn’t anything in particular that I dislike washing but always feel that running the machine empty on a long hot service wash an opportunity missed.
It’s the hand washing of jumpers that gets me.
Washing bedding, duvets and pillows are a struggle because of their bulkiness. Also the cats blankets and bedding because of the fur build up.
Wow, 12kg drum? It would definately save my time, my old one is gonna be replaced sometime soon anyway 🙂
Towels ugh, never mind drying them once you’re finished…..
Muddy football boots are the worst
I hate washing jumpers
I hate washing socks because washing machines eat them leaving me with odd socks.
Sheets and duvet covers are not my favourite items to wash!
Trainers as i alwasy end up ruining them!
Work shirts as I hate ironing them!
sorting out the coloureds from non coloureds clothing
I hate washing towels!
I can’t wash babygros for some reason, they always go out of shape
I also hate washing bedding, mainly because it’s so difficult to dry in the winter, plus it means I have to strip and re-make the bed which is not one of my favourite chores!
Socks! I hate having to match them up afterwards
I hate washing towels!
towels! so many towels in my house! A bigger drum would really help!
My work shirts are a pain. Always really creased no matter what i do.
i agree with you – bedding is the most time consuming to prepare and deal with
Hate washing my husbands work shirts, because i know after they are washed they will have to be ironed
Beko products are rally reliable – this washing machine looks really smart.
Bed sheets – so big and clumsy
Brand new pink or red clothes. They always seem to dye something else a diffrent shade of pink
Anything delicate or white. Never have enough for a wash so it sits in the basket for ages.
The top has fallen off my washing machine – please help!
The item I really hate washing is pillows, because often the inner stuffing ends up all lumpy and it is a struggle to get them back into shape again. Several times I’ve had to resort to cutting open the cover so that I make the stuffing the correct shape without too many lumps.
I am truly in need of a new washing machine as mine now leaks & is ready for wasing machine heaven! The difference between the one being gifted here & mine is equal to the difference between a modern gaming machine & a commodore!
☆I’m keeping my fingers & toes crossed☆
♡Thanks for the opportunity & Happy New Year♡
My puffa jacket ?
I hate washing delicate things
Hate washing socks. I put two in the washer and one comes put. Where all these odd socks go god only knows
Would come in handy for all the washing that piles up daily.
Work shirts……theres always another one to wash!
I hate washing socks as they always tend to go missing, great prize though, thanks.
It has to be the curtains. So annoying.
I hate washing towels, trying to keep them white!
My partner’s work clothes are always covered in sawdust – it gets everywhere!
Definitely the dog bedding
Delicate Blouses!
Delicate stuff with special washing instructions that can’t just be chucked in with the rest
Husband’s work clothes – really dirty and always things left in pockets!
Nothing really – it’s the ironing I don’t like!
I hate washing my skating pads – I have to take the knee pads apart and try and find the velcro covers, I also have to put them in a wash bag – sadly they need to be washed every week in the summer and every other week in the winter as they get sweaty and gross after 2-3 sessions a week – they also make a banging sound as they go round and cant go on a high spin either!
