Normally Easter brings chocolates and eggs and pastel colours! This year has been no different in that we are drowning in chocolate eggs, I set up a pastel sensory table for Amelia and we had lamb for dinner on Sunday. We have had a lovely family weekend all together and to be honest it couldn’t have been more perfect.
But this year brought with it something a little extra special too.
Our New Baby Granddaughter – Emmii!
Thankfully we spend last weekend having a baby shower for Lauren to show just how special she is to us and it was just in time too since Emmii wasn’t due until mid April but arrived early.
The baby shower was a cake and dessert ‘fest with a mix of homemade and shop bought cakes that everyone loved, we had party games and confetti filled balloons too. Baby Emmii received so many presents and I love that everyone made Lauren a welcome addition to our family, I want her to know that I am there for her no matter what and as her mother in law to be I want to be someone she can turn to no matter what. That is what family is to me!
Emmii arrived very quickly and took us all by surprise and at 6lb 3oz she is a tiny bundle of perfection. They were sent home from hospital the next day which was a lovely surprise too as Milo had to spend a little while in hospital so we kind of expected the same this time too.
We headed through and nothing prepares you for that rush of love when you first hold your grandchild, her tiny little fingers were perfect, she had a little milk mustache and she was sound asleep all the time we were there. She kept pulling those adorable little faces babies do – you know its wind but swear its a smile anyway!
Welcome to the family Emmii and I am so proud of you Ben and Lauren.
For those who prefer a more traditional home-like experience when on vacation, a timeshare can make sense. If you’ve gotten many years of good use out of your timeshare and now want to get rid of it, a timeshare cancellation company like Timeshare Freedom Group or Lonestar transfer may be able to help.
