We all have things we love to do, for as long as i can remember i have made things! Whether it be scrapbooks, cards, decorative wreaths, framed pictures, heck i can even remember being little and loving to make cross stitch and clay figurines etc. I think its just something I have always done – make things and I really do feel like it is wasted time if i dont have something in my hands at all times.
Thats one of the reasons why I love blogging so much, I can create new projects and we always have something to do. It could be going to visit somewhere new, host a review which means building and trialing new products etc and then technically I sit down and ‘make’ my blog post about said days out/items etc.

As a family we have been given so many great opportunities that wouldn’t have happened if I wasnt blogging, the children have parcels turn up on a regular basis filled with toys, clothes etc to review and I do try to make it clear to them that this is not the norm – they shouldn’t expect anything at all, if things turn up then they have to work for them.

We take pictures and they know that they have to give me reasons why they like/dislike them and they take care of them knowing it will get to the point that we will have too much stuff and once again we donate to our local charity shops.
If I am not blogging and spending time iwth the children you will find me in front of a sewing machine! After having 4 boys the thrill of frills and ruffles was too much and I adore making the girls clothes (yet to make anything for the boys as they dont think its cool to wear home made clothing) lol

However, while the girls are still young enough to get a kick out of wearing something mummy has made then I will keep on making and have in the process opened up Sweet Evangelines for business on Etsy. At the moment we are loving making our own t shirts and Amelia caused quite a stir in her Mini Blogger t shirt at the weekend – people were wanting to know where it was from and what she did etc! Too cute to see her posing too – she really is my little mini muse!

Pop over and share some love – my poor little store will be filling up quickly as we work our way through a stack of clothing. I need to wake my little model from her nap…but maybe I can just have another 5 minutes on the sewing maching instead! SShhhhh!
XOXO
