Being a huge fan of flavoured tea I always knew this day was coming when I could combine my two favourite things…. Tea and Christmas! I have been on the look out for a grown up advent calender that doesn’t cost the earth, is practical yet indulgent at the same time and something I know I will enjoy every single day! The Bluebird Tea Co Advent Calender contains 24 tea gifts including luxury tea bags, mini matcha pots, tea scented mini candles, vegan chocolates, Bluebird pin badge and other surprise tea-themed gifts!
I was kindly sent a few samples of the new Christmas flavour teas including Sugar Plum, Christmas Cake and Mulled Cider alongside a couple of larger packets of the tea bags in Snowball and Gingerbread Chai. Included in the pack were also a couple of the super cute Christmas crackers which contain a paper hat, individually sealed Bluebird tea bag, tea related joke and traditional ‘snap’.
My favourite so far is the Mulled Cider! A few years ago I was lucky enough to visit a German Christmas market with my mum and we sampled lots of Gluhwein and I have loved it every since. This Mulled Cider tea is a refreshing, non alcoholic take on the usual seasonal alcohol fueled version and you don’t even know that the ‘cider’ is missing. There is a little disclaimer to say that you can add a drop of rum if you wish to pep it up but for a warming nightly drink in the run up to Christmas it really doesn’t need it!
Our name comes from the term ‘Bluebird Day’ which is a day with perfect blue skies. The motto for the company is ‘spreading happiness, one cupful at a time.’ and we wanted to choose a company name that reminded us of this every single day. – Bluebird Tea Co
I love the whole ethos behind Bluebird and cant wait to organise my next trip around a visit to the shop for a Tea Blending Workshop! You get to pick, blend, package and name your own blend to take home. The traditional tasting session will teach you all about different teas and blending herbs, how they are made, best enjoyed and their health benefits.
