I think by now you all know my love of Autumn! The crisp air, the pumpkins and everything cosy. Give me a candle, a mug of hot chocolate and a blanket and I will be your best friend for life!
Each year I like to pick up a couple of new knitwear pieces. Classics that will stand the test of time and integrate with both skirts and jeans for the next couple of months. Having spent the afternoon looking at the Cotton Traders website I opted for a simple cotton crew neck jumper and a cream Fair Isle Turtleneck jumper.
My theory with the cotton crew neck is that with it being a muted grey it will go with pretty much everything. It will look fabulous over the top of shirts as well as being thin enough to wear tucked into jeans too if I’m looking for something simple. The jumper from the Essentials collection is available in 7 solid colours and 2 stripe options. Ranging from sizes 8 to 26 too there really is something for everyone.
The Fair Isle jumper is one of those classic pieces that you can spot a mile off and know its just so darn cosy!
Paired with a simple straight leg jean and short ankle boot this is going to see me through lunch with the girls to the family Christmas shopping trip in Dublin! Available in 3 colours (I adore the blue!) and again sizes 8 to 26.
I also did the most grown woman thing ever and ordered BIG knickers! If you’re of a certain age or have an apron tummy like me then you will love big knickers. The ones that come over your tummy and just make you feel safe! (I’m not kidding – have you ever felt safe in a g-string?!)
After the order was placed it arrived within 2 days. The Fair Isle jumper played catch up and arrived a week later but again, this saved me a trip to the shops so I was happy to wait!
