What could be a better way to spend time with the girls than to make something we both love! Bath bombs – heck who doesn’t love a good bath bomb!
Do you know how easy they are to make too? Its kind of magic the way it happens and with just a few ingredients too. We were kindly sent the So Bomb DIY kit from Canal Toys to include in our Christmas gift guide but it was such a fabulous way to spend the time with the girls that I thought it would make a good review.

The kit includes everything you need to create 6 bath bombs. There are even sprinkles to pop on the top or toys to include in the middle, these would make great gifts too so another way to save pennies on birthday presents etc this coming year.
All of the ingredients are individually bagged which means nothing needs to be weighed and measured, the instructions are very clear and I was really only there under a supervisory role.

The first steps are to add just 3 ingredients into the mixing ball. The system is so easy to set up and the blade inside is plastic so not at all dangerous. The blade is turned around by the handle, mixing the ingredients inside.

The combined ingredients are then spooned into the container to create the actual bath bomb shape. There seems an awful lot of mix for the container but you really need to keep packing it down. The ball needs to be compact to hold its shape. If you want the bath bomb to look like it has a topping you need to pop the bits into the container before packing in the powder. Likewise half fill then add the toy if you want a bath bomb with surprise centre.

You get a little plunger style handle which makes it easy to push down the powder creating the bath bomb. Once formed you need to leave it for approx 30 minutes to dry out, we left ours over night as it was still a little damp and we were ready to go to bed anyway.

The bath bomb was beautiful and smelled of honey even though we hadn’t added scent of any kind. They are super easy to make and the sense of achievement from making our own was great come bath time.

We were gifted some items from So Bomb for our Christmas gift guide, this review was not asked or paid for.
