This is my favourite season, for the past couple of months I have been craving the woolly tights, boots and dresses. The leaves are starting to fall and it has been non stop rain so far, but with the start of October I thought it may be a good idea to jot down some of the things we want to achieve this month!
I am in the process of redecorating the living room, by now you should know just how obsessed I am with changing up my home. The thing is I have drawn a few lines in my personal life and I finally feel like I am at the point where I can make my mark on the house. The carpet is up and dark wood is going down, the walls are grey with a focal black and silver fireplace wall. The skirting and doors are black and the overall vibe of the room is really cosy, we literally can’t wait for the nights to start setting in as it is going to be beautiful! Tasks for October – wood flooring down and black painting finished. Curtains changed and wall decor updated.

Amelia is really enjoying school at the moment and came home today with a ‘Excellent Writing’ sticker. She is practising at home with her numbers and letters, copying words from books and the internet. Her love of reading is yet to kick in as she would still rather be read to but I am hoping that will come in time. Tasks for October: Switch up the girls books for more Autumn theme ones and print off some seasonal work sheets.

The wardrobes need a good clear out as I need to pop away all of the summer clothes and get out the sweaters and cosy clothing! I love nothing more than thick woolly tights and dresses, they hide a multitude of sins and give me a little bit of confidence while I shift the weight I’ve put back on! It will be moved and I have set myself a goal for Christmas – I have written it down in a book and will be aiming to hit target within the next three months. There will be more to go but I will be happy to hit the first goal by the end of the year – the rest can be achieved in 2020! Tasks for October: Clear out wardrobes and start the Christmas weight countdown.

Happy Autumn!
