Being on the review panel for The Body Shop means that I get the chance to try out new products before they are released into the stores. This time around I was sent two of the Spa of the World Face masks. Beautiful heavy weight glass jars give these a very luxurious feel and having only used the smallest amount for the trials I can see these lasting a very long time!
First up was the Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask, which is a mud textured exfoliating mask to deep clean and detoxify.
This mask is inspired by Ayurvedic traditions, and its tingling mud-texture works to detoxify and unclog skin that needs to release impurities and toxins to help reveal a healthy looking, youthful glow.
Bamboo charcoal is a powerful, detoxifying superfood . It is often found in smoothies and juices as it is known to adsorb accumulated impurities before carrying them out of the body.
Second up is the Chinese Ginseng and Rice Clarifying Polishing Mask, which is a creamy exfoliating mask to brighten and revitalise skin.
Inspired by Chinese traditions, our creamy exfoliating mask works to brighten, even and revitalise skin that needs an intense treatment to remove dullness and unevenness.
Out of the two my favourite (and possibly all time favourite face mask I have ever tried!) is the Himalayan Charcoal. Such a cooling and deep cleansing mask that my skin instantly felt brighter and fresher after use. I love peel off masks so this was a new one for me, leaving it to dry was a whole new experience and it seemed to dry in record time. My face felt so tight that I couldn’t even move my mouth to talk – I think this was hubbies favourite too for that exact reason!
Overall I will definitely be purchasing these once I run out but having tried them both once and barely touched the surface of each pot I think that might be a while yet!
XOXO
