If there is any DIY to be done around the house its generally down to myself to do it (honestly its just not worth the nagging and waiting! sorry hubs love you!!) so when I was offered the chance to try Sugru I bypassed OK’ing it with hubby and had a million and one ideas I knew I could use it for!
5 Sachets of black, grey, white, green and red coloured Sugru come in a handy little keepsake tin alongside a brochure with lots of ideas on how to use it!
First up being my iPhone charger wire! I’m sure I’m not the only one who goes through these at least once a month (thank goodness for Poundshop cables!) as the kids sit and twist the cable until the wire shows through! Then its a case of jiggling the wire to hit the right spot to charge again!
With Sugru you take half a sachet and knead it between your fingers until it is pliable, think blue tac or play dough. Flatten it out and wrap around the wire at the top where it meets the connector. After 24 hours this is solid and cant be wiggled or twisted so should last me an awful lot longer than normal!
Another little job I knew we would use it for was Ethans X-box controller. A mix of temper and little sisters who love to mess around with his things have caused damage to one of the control buttons. A quick addition of half a pack of Sugru and its as good as new….he has even covered the other controller now as he said its easier to use!
My mission this afternoon is to make some pan hooks for the insides of our kitchen cupboard doors. Space savers and we will know where they are instead of falling to the back of the cupboard behind everything else too!
Sugru comes in a little tin of 5 sachets and is only £10. A fabulous fathers day gift (or for mummy too – we know who does the work round here don’t we!)
XOXO
Debbie
