When it comes to styling our new home both hubby and myself have different ideas! Well not so much different ideas more, I have ideas and hubby is indifferent… ‘yeah honey whatever you think’! *insert eye roll here*
In practice that is fine but in reality it can be a complete nightmare!
I think the most expensive item you can buy for your home and the item that is probably going to take much abuse is the sofa, hubby loves to be able to watch Formula One snuggled with the kids and I am an armchair, feet tucked under, glass of wine kind of girl! This means we often have to meet in the middle between comfort and practicality!
Having found the most amazing store, BoConcept in Glasgow, I am now working on hubby with my wishlist of future purchases! Oh yes, not only do they supply the most amazing designer sofas, they have futuristic furniture that would look amazing in our open plan living/dining room!
A couple of my favourites include this Osaka 2 1/2 seater which would be fabulous for the conservatory and the grey scale would look great against the white backdrop with green accents bringing the outdoors in!
Having a large family means family movie night and this would be superb for family snuggles with lots of cushions, blankets and popcorn!
This week I start project white out which involves turning each room from magnolia into a stark white backdrop – after that the world is our oyster as any colour will go!
XOXO
Debbie
