No one knows what life holds for them or what is going to be thrown at them. If you had told me 3 years ago that I would be in a situation where I would be living apart from my husband and 3 out of the 5 children who still at home I would have laughed (actually I probably would have cried). Right now though this is our life and its all about starting again and taking the time to make the best of a situation that has happened for the right reasons.
I would love to make the first step towards getting back on the housing ladder, a piece of security for me and the girls. We have a roof over our heads that we are making our own but to have a property that is owned instead of rented would be an amazing accomplishment. Having spoken to my mum about when they bought their first home and it is amazing to see, that by using the handy calculator from Sunlife, just how much the price has increased over the years. I can only hope that if I were to get on the ladder that I could see my investment grow too.
Having already made a conscious effort to work out what we can cut back on and where I can start to save some money I feel that at 43 I really need to have it together, its time to grow up and things just got serious. I intend on being serious but also allowing us to still enjoy life as we go, you never know whats around the corner so we need to be happy while aspiring to be home owners!
My wish list for a forever home isn’t huge and contrary to popular belief doesn’t include a swimming pool or bedroom veranda! All I would wish for is room for us to grow in a house that needs a lot of work! I really love the idea of starting from scratch with a house that we can stamp our own impression on – this of course adds to the value so again works well in the long run! Ideally it would have a kitchen big enough to house my dream Rangemaster, an open plan area so that the girls can do school work while I bake up a storm would be perfect! Ideally 4 Bedrooms so that the girls could have their own rooms and we would still have a spare bedroom for the boys to come and stay.
A garden is a must as the girls love being outside and when the weather is as glorious as it has been lately it would be such a shame to not be able just to nip outdoors and relax!
XOXO

For those who prefer a more traditional home-like experience when on vacation, a timeshare can make sense. If you’ve gotten many years of good use out of your timeshare and now want to get rid of it, a timeshare cancellation company like Timeshare Freedom Group or Lonestar transfer may be able to help.
