This week we were hit by the Beast from the East in the form of a snowstorm of icy winds from Siberia blowing across the globe! This is the first proper winter snowfall that the children have ever seen, yes we have had snow before but nothing like this and to be honest I can’t remember having snow this deep since I was little (…and that was a while ago!)
We all wrapped up warm and realise we had the perfect opportunity to take our #OreoCookieQuest to the next level! What looks more like dark black coal buttons and eyes than dark chocolate Oreo Cookies!
The perfect rounds we needed without having to find an elusive coal bunker like in the old days of pinching lumps of the black stuff from the garden shed!
After a lot of rolling in the snow and snowball fights our snowman was pretty much built and just needed the finishing touches, I never realised just how intense snowman building could be. Daddy spent most of the time sculpting it into shape and shouting to the kids to ‘hold him steady while I pack the sides’ and ‘boys, quick grab some arm looking branches’ haha
Everyone had a part in making our snowman perfect and Evie placed the Oreos, Amelia the carrot nose, I popped on the scarf and the boys positioned the arms. We were out there a good few hours and had so much fun! The snow is meant to stay for the next few days too so I think he might end up with snow wife and snow dog too!
We have never had snow days in as many years as I have been a mummy so to have them this week has been amazing as its meant we got to spend lots of time together just playing and making memories! Lets hope it is another snow day tomorrow!
Oreo is celebrating The Great Oreo Cookie Quest a fun and interactive way to win great prizes. Oreo fans also have the opportunity to win a once-in-a-lifetime wonder-filled trip to California and the Googleplex through an on-pack promotion.
XOXO

Based on your pics, I think Oreos are made for snow days!
