As I mentioned in my previous post about getting out of a funk, one of the steps was to watch movies that made you laugh. Sometimes laughter is the best medicine, sometimes its watching something you have seen so many times you are completely absorbed in it!
For me that movie would be The Colour Purple.
This amazing story of Celie Johnson, whos story is told by the fabulous Oprah Winfrey and Danny Glover. Pregnant with her fathers child in the 1900s this is a story of Celie finding her own place in the world and with it comes nothing but heartache and a story that needs to be told. I cry every. single. time. and I’m not talking little cries, I’m talking heart wrenching sobs!
Sometimes watching a classic movie that you have seen over and over again is the best thing to break a funk, you know whats coming and yet you are right there alongside the actors each and every time.
What is your go to movie? Is it a classic or something more recent?

I just love the classics. My go to movie is in the Sci-fi genre. The fifth Element. Full of action, love, fashion and futuristic. Iv seen some of those films, better check out the rest. 😀
Wow, I haven’t seen any of these. I need to fix that.
Gone with the wind is one of my guilty pleasures!
