It wasn’t until I had children that I added a little more weight to my frame and to be honest although I struggle to lose it, most of the time I am actually quite happy being a size 16/18. There are so many fabulous clothes out there that you don’t have to worry about wearing a sack dress or unfashionable clothing just because you aren’t the typical high street size.
I was kindly sent 3 items from Simply Be and have chose to focus on my favourite piece of all, that being this off the shoulder stripe top with lace detail. With elasticated shoulder focus this top hangs perfectly and hides any muffin top and imperfections around the middle. The lace detail on the sleeves is so pretty and adds that perfect feminine touch too. I ordered the size 16 and this is generous in sizing considering I have a rather large bust!
Personally I think this top would be ideal for going out for a night with the girls, simple white jeans and heels would look great! Alternatively I have been wearing it during the day with blue jeans and flats and have had quite a few compliments on how it looks! There are so many pretty going out tops available that can work as cross over between day to night looks, which is your favourite and how would you style yours?
I was also sent the following dress but have to say it is completely see through so not PG rated and suitable for my blog (you wouldn’t want to see me in it! lol) It looks absolutely stunning on this picture though so may be worth investing in a slip dress to wear underneath or as Beach Cover-ups.
The third item was a beautifully casual bomber jacket, following this trend I really thought this would be something I could pull off but unfortunately with 4 sons, after I was asked which ones jacket I was wearing I realised I’m a little too old to make this look stylish and just look like I’ve pinched my kids clothes!
Can you rock the bomber jacket look? Maybe I’m just doing it wrong and need to try a different style – do you have one you can recommend?
XOXO
