New Chapters!
When your babies aren’t babies any more – the whole world seems to be open!
Looking back at the sum up of last months Instagram pictures it struck me that for the past 20 years we have always had a baby to look after but now with Amelia being our last we are entering a new chapter!
A whole new set of challenges face us with our first grandchild on the way and another teenager in the house. Add that to one turning 20 and another 18 this year – milestones in themselves!
Evie is coming up to 6 and taking a keen interest in what she wears and how she looks (granted she’s still a leggings and t-shirt loving girl) but she loves it when her hair is plaited and she has a little gloss on her lips!
Amelia wants to do everything her big sister does and is such a little daredevil that you just have to take a breath and let her get on with it! Which often includes jumping from the sofa/chairs/bed resulting in giggles. She is an independent little girl with a strong will.
With my blog growing I am being invited places and having the chance to hold adult conversations! Being invited to parties and launches, to review restaurants and being sent products to try. I guess after being ‘just a mummy’ for so long you forget how much world is out there and its nice rediscovering WHAT I LIKE instead of basing my views around what WE like!
Our eldest has even said he can baby sit while we go out for a meal together…just me and hubby…that hasn’t happened for a long time and is something that, to be honest, scares me a little. What will we talk about if the kids aren’t there to distract us and keep us busy?! I’m sure we will find something but this is not a problem we have come across before and not something I have ever thought of because as I said, for the past 20 years we have always had a little someone (or a few of them) with us!
I am excited!
Excited for what the future holds for us, for my blog, for me!
XOXO
