These posts always go down well and I know I love reading what people are watching so here is my May update about what I am either watching or have watched on Netflix, Sky and Amazon Prime!
I would quite happily live on box sets alone, seriously, keep your music channels, sports, movies and soaps – give me a good series …. ALL THE BOX SETS!!
13 Reasons Why: Oh my now where do I start with this one? This is the story of Hannah Baker and the reasons why she killed herself. I think everyone has watched this now and if you haven’t then you should, its a little slow to start with but it gets heart breaking towards the end and really makes you think about your behaviour and consequences. Its scary to look back and think about school yard behaviour and how it affects people, I know I had my fair share of bullying at school and this hit home on many occasions. Be wary of triggers if you have been through or are going through something awful 🙁 I do however think it should be shown in school to highlight the damage done by bullish actions.
Breaking Bad: This one has taken me 3 attempts to watch and I am still only up to Season 2 Episode 1. I am starting to get into it and this is the furthest I have gotten so I will stick with it for now and see how it goes after hearing so many good reviews.
Hand of God: Recommended by my mum this is a good one! 2 Series about a man who supposedly finds god in the wake of his son shooting himself this tells the story of how he sets out to find the reasons behind the attempted suicide. Lots of different stories and another everything happens for a reason kind of tale which I love. Highly recommended!
Sneaky Pete: I thought i had seen all of this but it turns out I only watched one episode – WTF?! lol Enjoyed the first episode and love the concept of someone taking over someone elses life and no one knowing about it, not even the estranged family recognising him – WHAT?!
Big Little Lies: This has to be one of my favourite series EVER. Filled with stars including Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon and Laura Dern this tells the tale of how the lives of normal mums unravel ending in murder. The series starts with the murder and all the way through you can see it is leading up to the point of finding out who the victim is. Suspense, intrigue, lots of language and sex, it does contain spousal abuse too just a word of warning!
Prison Break: I watched the first 4 seasons years ago and loved it, escape, back inside, escape again, back ins…. you get the picture! Well you can imaging my heartbreak when you invest so much time in something only for the main character to be killed off. Heart. Broken. Well never fear…with a good TV series there is always a good come back and this is one of them! Loving the new series and can’t wait to see what happens next – no spoilers here!
Line of Duty: BBC have shown the third series lately staring Thandie Newton as a DCI who gets tangled up in a murder investigation with a shocking outcome. I won’t post spoilers for those who haven’t seen it but suffice to say I went searching for Seasons 1 and 2 to make sure I knew the full rundown of how DC-12 work, I now can’t wait for Season 4!
What has been on your viewing list lately?
Any recommendations?
XOXO

I need to catch up with Big Little Lies. I’m 3 episodes in!
I haven’t actually got sucked into a good series for ages. I think the last thing I watched without fail was one tree hill! Will check these out, great post!
I loved breaking bad on Netflix! We are actually thinking of cutting our sky because it’s just too expensive and just have Netflix instead. With a baby now we just don’t have the time like we use to…to sit and binge watch tv all weekend.
