Winter has well and truly set in now and with the kids going back to school after Christmas comes the inevitable illness and days off sick. Our little ones have been back only 4 weeks and so far Evie has been off all of this week due to tummy bugs and runny bottoms – no its not a nice topic but we are all parents and have all been there wondering when the darn bugs will eventually disappear!
Being a stay at home mum means it is difficult for me to get to the shops when hubby is at work, I don’t drive and we live in the middle of no where so ‘popping out to the shops’ just isn’t an option for me. Town is a good 25 minute bus ride but when you have sick children the last thing you want to do is be dragging them across the countryside to pick up some paracetamol liquid for them. Amelias temperature was raging and we had to resort to asking a neighbour to pop into town to grab something to bring the heat down, I knew it wasn’t worth a trip to the doctors and certainly not worth ringing 111 but what do you do when you’re alone and have no options available?
Look online for help!
After resigning myself to the fact that I order almost everything else online I asked myself why not see if there is anywhere you can order medicines etc too. There are of course large chain stores but you pay large chain store prices too, looking around I came across The Independent Pharmacy who offer independent advice and a professional service including having your prescriptions delivered to your door! Why did I not know this before? I have sometimes gone days without my medication because hubby has been away and I have ran out!
Orders over £39.99 are delivered free and at the moment there is an offer online of 15% off with the code NEW15 for anyone registering on their site. With an online pharmacy and online doctor all you need to do is input your treatment and answer a short questionnaire. A healthcare professional will review your details and recommend you the products you need from over 434 medicines online. Products are then delivered discreetly to your door and you can easily re order in a few clicks!
Simples!
