First up after a 5 day break is my Living Arrows post – linking up with What the Redhead Said The project originally took it’s name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”
This weekend saw the boys head out to Go Ape while the girls stayed at home and made Sushi! Believe me I think judging by the weather this weekend the girls got the better end of the deal!
It didn’t look to bad out first thing but after the boys had been gone around an hour or so the heavens opened and there was even snow! Hubby did take the time to send me through a few shots of the boys in the trees and I was so surprised when I saw them all flying down a zip line! They did however have to leave a little earlier than planned as it was just too cold but hopefully we will all be able to go in the summer.
Evie, Amelia, Nana and myself stayed at home to make our own sushi, the girls loved it! Evie mainly picked which fillings etc and Amelia just nibbled at everything we were trying to make but hey that’s helping kid style isn’t it!
All of the sushi turned out great and with a little more practice, its not as easy as it looks, I’m sure we could have some stylish looking Uramaki and Futomaki!
XOXO

I’m impressed with the homemade sushi. Brr Go Ape in the snow and rain would have been freezing. #livingarrows
That looks like a lot of fun! We haven’t tried Go Ape before but seem like the kids would love it!
Oh wow, Go Ape! So brave! I’m not sure I could ever do that! Great photos x
